Antiz Skateboards presents Echoes from the Road parts 1 and 2, the first episodes of their serialised new tour video which sees the extended Antiz family go on a spot annihilation spree across the continent. No strangers to hitting the road, Antiz productions have always been a spatially wide ranging affair so the rigours of skating all day and then sleeping in a tent does not effect legs in the way in most likely would for many after an extended period of nomadism.
Antiz have been at the forefront of European grass roots skateboarding since their first video Antizipated dropped in 2003, way back when videos were still released regularly in physical form and social media hadn’t beaten our collective attention spans into submission. The changing face of skateboard media might mean that we don’t have a full length video dropping all at once to sit down and watch with a brew or a beer, but luckily Echoes from the Road, regardless of format, is a gnarly bastard whichever way you look at it. When you’ve built a reputation as a team for hitting some of the crustiest, gnarliest and most savage spots across Europe then resting on your laurels isn’t exactly an option, so the combination of long-term riders and newer team members uncover plenty of vertigo inducing gems over the course of the first two parts here. If that wasn’t enough, it even has Wire on the soundtrack. Press play on both, then keep an eye out for part three when it comes around!
