adidas Skateboarding presents ‘Adelante’ with Diego Najera, which sees him hitting the streets and coming correct – as you are legally obliged to if you skate to any sort of Boot Camp Clik affiliates but especially if you’re going to skate to a track from Black Moon’s classic 1993 debut album Enta Da Stage (or Da Beatminerz remix to be pedantic, but this ain’t Source Mag).
The video kicks off with a smooth soul montage featuring Daewon Song, Nora Vasconcellos, Dennis Busenitz, Nestor Judkins, Felipe Gustavo, Jack Fardell, Gunes Ozdogan, Donta Hill and Lil’ Dre – Booze n Tits clip in which begs the question “Isn’t it time for him to film a full China Banks part?”. Either that, or someone with more time on their hands than me needs to put together a remix of every line he’s laid down there.
Following on from that, the Primitive Skateboards pro begins systematically dismantling the ego of every spot in his path. Diego seriously makes the most awkward of tech combinations on the most rugged blocks look like he’s dropping off a curb, but with enough flow to avoid the connotations of roboticness that the preceding statement can easily bring to mind. We’d definitely be remiss in not pointing out the nollie hardflip which occurs at 3:48 – I’m not going to spoil it for you, but you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might even squirt out a mini stream of piss. All in all, this is the badger’s Najera’s. Has this entire text been leading up to that at best mildly amusing pun? Unfortunately, yes.
“ADELANTE” is the first full-length adidas Skateboarding part from Diego Nájera. Opening up with a montage of nine adidas team members, “ADELANTE” showcases the style and technical prowess that Diego has become known for. Take a moment to watch Nájera lay it down in his newest skate part.
