The adidas Skate Copa Court Tour kicked off in NYC last weekend, with Brooklyn playing host to the ‘Blackbird’ obstacle which now resides their for good. This past weekend, adidas Skateboarding commenced their 2017 Global Skate Copa Court tour at the American Playground Court located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. The three-stripes brand invited local shop teams for a casual competition, adidas Pro team demos, the “adidas Blackbird Best Trick Contest” and open skate jam for everyone who attended the packed event.
Kicking off the Global Skate Copa Court tour were adidas Pro team riders Mark ‘Gonz’ Gonzales, Tyshawn Jones, Nestor Judkins, Mark Suciu, Chewy Cannon and Jake Donnelly – all who participated in the team demos. Hosted by Tim O’Connor and Jefferson Pang, industry media and key members of the local skate community were also in attendance. Local shop teams who participated in the friendly competition included Supreme, KCDC, Labor, Orchard, Underground, NJ, and Breakwater.
