Southbank and Palace Skateboards have been and will forever be intertwined.
The spot was the home from home of Palace Skateboards founder Lev Tanju long before the Palace brand existed, and the Palace team riders who are still resident in the UK can be found localising the legendary Undercroft on a daily basis.
With Palace’s deep connections to Southbank and to the Long Live Southbank campaign, (who are currently raising funds and awareness with a view to opening up the rest of the original space of the Undercroft currently boarded off,) it was a no brainer for Palace to release this highly limited skateboard featuring a full length photo graphic of the UK’s most iconic skate spot.
“This LLSB Charity Deck was released exclusively in Palace’s own shops and all proceeds were donated directly to the ongoing LLSB campaign.”
This LLSB Charity Deck was released exclusively in Palace’s own shops and all proceeds were donated directly to the ongoing LLSB campaign. If you’re lucky enough to own one and have an eye to future resale values, you’d be well advised to keep this one-off as a wall-hanger as, with all things Palace, this is highly sought after despite only coming out a few months ago.
Shape and concave-wise, it’s your basic Palace silhouette but, as we said above, if you’re daft enough to skate this one then you’re either riding for Palace or you’ve got more money than sense.
For more details on the LLSB campaign that this Palace skateboard was released to support, head over to their website and get involved yourselves because if they pull off their proposed reclamation of the original Undercroft, it will be the coup of the century.
