Bank Holiday Monday saw veteran Nottingham head Craig Smedley host a line-based event at his local, and recently re-opened, Flo skatepark.
In his own words, “If I don’t put something on, then nobody else will and I’ve had the title in my head for years so here we go…”
Craig put up his own prize money for the sponsored/pro comp, along with donations of product for the unsponsored categories, and turned what would’ve otherwise been another freezing cold Bank Holiday into a banging sesh.
Towcester’s Mark Stern ended up as the eventual overall winner of the Sponsored category, after linking together a variety of well popped lines on the three ledge obstacles set out for the event.
Big up Craig, Brad Garner who provided the music, Flo skatepark heads and all the people who got off their arses to support skater-run culture, rather than posting complaints on Social Media. Go make it happen for yourselves…
