The backside flip is another classic street move with infinite potential for variations and if performed in the right way, one of the most stylish flip tricks around.
The backside kickflip is a combination of the straight kickflip and the backside 180 ollie so, as ever, make sure you have mastered your technique on both of these tricks first, as they are the foundations of the backside flip. As with all backside tricks, this one is slightly more difficult than its frontside version, since you’re turning blindside in the middle of the trick. Confidence will help you: learn to catch the trick half way through and you can control it even though you’re not facing your direction of travel.
