Casper Brooker

If there was any doubt at all that Slam City Skates team rider Casper Brooker is the king of the undercroft then check out his Long Live Southbank edit from 2013 in which he absolutely destroys London’s most famous skate spot with a series of ridiculous lines. He had previously been welcomed onto the Emerica UK team in 2011 with another impressive Southbank edit.

He made his full-length video debut with a part in Slam City’s first-ever film, the grimy, black-and-white, London-set City of Rats, released in 2012, and, since then, has been quietly making a place for himself on the UK skate scene, also picking up sponsorship deals with Heroin Skateboards (until May 2013) and Stella Supply hardware.

Casper is a Londoner through and through, and it comes as no surprise to learn that his top three skate spots are ‘Southbank, Southbank, Southbank’. Despite taking some time away from the capital recently to hold his own with the big boys (including legends such as Heath Kirchart) on Emerica’s Made In Emerica UK tour, he is still out there, killing the capital on a regular basis.

Now living in a skate house in Kennington, he is currently working on a project with Henry Edwards-Wood. He describes skating with his childhood hero Andrew Reynolds on the Emerica tour as a ‘dream come true’, and it comes as no surprise to learn that Reynold’s Stay Gold is one of the parts which had the biggest influence on him as he grew up.
