The UK leg of the Vans Shop Riot has now been finalised, with the session going down on the weekend of 18th – 19th June at Flo Skatepark in Nottingham. The Vans Shop Riot series is returning for 2016, with a two-day action packed event being held at Flo Skatepark in Nottingham on 18-19th June. Skate stores from across the country will come together for the weekend showdown, with £3,000 at stake as well as a place in the European finals up for grabs.
Preparing to retain their Vans Shop Riot UK crowns, the team from Black Sheep are among those already confirmed to go head-to-head with their rival stores to claim their spot in the 2016 finals.
Shop Riot was created back in 2009 with the intention of promoting grassroots European skateboarding, fostering team spirit and championing local skate shops.
Taking fifteen stops across the continent, the series pitches the skate community’s finest against each other, showcasing incredible home grown talent, with the ultimate goal of becoming Vans Shop Riot European Champions!
Vans Shop Riot UK will be held at Flo Skatepark in Nottingham, threatened with closure last year, the park has come back fighting. One of the UK’s largest indoor skateparks and the busiest in Nottingham, its mix of transition and street obstacles make it the perfect host for the event.
Black Sheep, Skate Pharmacy, Subvert, Focus and FortyTwo are amongst the UK skate stores signed up to date.
