Vagrant Skates presents the Sketchy Rollers Pacific Northwest tour, offering up the kind of classic ‘oh shit that’s gnarly’ terrain you’d expect from the state of Oregon being torn up by a squad of rippers clearly not raised on a three foot blue plastic miniramp dropped in place by a squad of cowboy builders hired by an apathetic council (Rother District can suck my dick, time has done nothing to heal that wound). From the frankly terrifying depths of Klamath Falls to the more accommodating looking curves of Windells Skate Camp, with various backyard pits and ad hoc DIY builds thrown in for good measure, this will have you dreaming of getting on the road – at least when it stops feeling like Siberia outside that is.
The editing is spot on with this one too – there’s no fucking with The Highwaymen as a music choice and Johnny, Waylon, Willie and Kris are definitely no strangers to soundtracking a road trip . If you didn’t clock the madonna tail coinciding with the lyric ‘Sonny took his pool cue, laid the drunk out on the floor’ at 1:18 then head back for another watch and appreciate a little piece of editing mastery.
Featuring Chris Livingston, Zane Timpson, Elijah Akerley, Brendan Villanueva, Jojo Heffington and Ryan Hill.
Filmed and edited by Coburn Huff, with additional filming by Zane Timpson. Vagrant Skateboards have also put together a trip write up alongside a collection of photos by Dave Gutierrez for you to peruse at will, offering up even more reason (as if you needed it) to save up enough cash to hit some of the finest/shit scariest skateparks in the world, camp out in places where there may or may not be bears and destroy your trucks on more pool coping per square foot than anywhere else on the globe (this fact isn’t verifiable because I made it up).
