Starring, at the time, little known Welsh talent such as a young Matt Pritchard and Lee Dainton, and originally released in 1995, “Thugs” advertised itself as a Welsh scene video, comprising of footage from between 1991 and 1995, though you will soon see by watching the trailer that it goes beyond the boundaries of your average scene video. Giving insight into the early 90s skate scene, and featuring unseen footage of British legends including Tom Penny and Chris Pullman, as well as lesser seen footage of Pritchard in his prime, “Thugs” should be a mandatory purchase when it’s finally re-released on DVD early next year.
