If you’re not familiar with the work of The Uganda Skateboard Union, then this quote from their website pretty much sums up what they do perfectly:

“The Uganda Skateboard Union has been successfully operating in a suburb of Kampala for over a year now. The organization is fighting idleness and boredom by introducing skateboarding to disadvantaged youth. The skatepark shown in the video is the first and only park in the country and it was built entirely by hand by the youth of the community.”
