Sunday Service: Scott Palmer – “Mission ImpossibHull” (1998)

Here’s an undeniable Sunday morning nugget of archival gold-dust for you, all the way from the wind beaten streets of East Coast; Hull, to be precise.

Thanks to the solid output of video and photo coverage over the years, Scott Palmer has landed himself firmly in the realm of the “legendary” to all who appreciate the fine art of street skating. His sections across “Through The Eyes Of Ruby”, “Waiting For The World”, “First Broadcast” and “Lost and Found” are still on heavy circulation thanks to the Sidewalk Forum, and he’s even scored himself his very own Appreciation Group on Facebook. Most of his major collections of footage have already been released online via Sunday Services in the past, though this morning we can venture back into the late 90’s for a mammoth eight minute, two song Scott section that has not seen the light of day for years.
“Mission ImpossiHull” was the third and final Hull scene video by Adi Broadhead, and, despite being free to anyone who could post a blank VHS to Marc Banks, was extremely hard to find copies of outside of East Yorkshire. Following on from sterling appearances by the likes of Eggy and Marc Banks, Scott laid claim to the closing section as he delivered a serious beatdown to the first Rock City skatepark set up, cruised around inner-city Hull and countless other Yorkshire towns, he even managed to get some footage together during a rare outing to The States.

Scott fans – this one’s definitely for you. Send all your thanks in the direction of Marc Banks and Adi Broadhead for hooking it up.
