We’re stoked to see California’s Norfolk connection Sam Beckett taking first place at this year’s X-Games, with a powerful as fuck run finishing with the lesser seen backside 360 to rock n roll slide bringing him the gold in front of Moto Shibata and Jimmy Wilkins. Sam’s been absolutely on one for awhile now (check his Excursion edit from last year for confirmation), so this is well deserved, and special mention has to go to the bizarre commentary, which reaches Partridge-esque levels of weirdness with “I love that helmet, it just complements the way he’s skateboarding.” Eh?
