Radlands Reunion – It’s hard to believe that it has been 25 years since the infamous Radlands Skatepark in Northampton first opened its doors and welcomed in skateboarders from all around the globe, creating unparalleled skateboarding legends and friendships that will last forever.
Even though the original Radlands Skatepark doesn’t exist in physical form anymore (it unfortunately closed for good in October 2004) its ethos continues to live on through passed on stories, a lot of which are centred upon the way that the Ince family treated and nurtured anyone that entered the park’s hallowed gates.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Radlands first opening its doors, Damian Ince hired out The Pioneer Club in St Albans (another legendary and long standing UK skate mecca), invited all the OG Radlands locals and anyone else that wanted to celebrate, and even brought along his dad – the mighty Chris Ince – and his brother Steve.
A healthy turn out of heads from all over the country ensured a traditional Radlands buzz, and plenty of booze and banter kept the lights on until well after midnight.
Long live Radlands!
