The details of the Nike SB London Am, the UK leg of the Nike SB European Series 2016, are now live and can be seen below. Prepare yourself for the madness which is sure to unfold (remind yourself of Tom Knox’s ridiculous 2014 run for a taster), check a London hype edit featuring Casper Brooker, Korahn Gayle, Nick Jensen, Joe Gavin, Kyle Wilson and Kyron Davis, and peep the press release for further details!
Nike SB invites you to the Nike SB London AM at BaySixty6 Skatepark. Now celebrating its third year, the London AM is the second stop of the Nike SB 2016 European series, which challenges skateboarders across Europe to compete in some of the most vibrant cities on the continent.
Top amateur skaters will enter qualifying and semi final heats on Saturday with the aim of making the cut for a Sunday final and a share of the €10,000 prize purse. The ultimate winner will be invited to take part in the Berlin Open in July where they will skate against some of the best Pros at Nike SB’s Shelter skatepark.
Those not making the final will still have the opportunity to compete in Sunday’s ‘Best Trick’ event where skaters are tasked with landing the most technical tricks down selected features in the skatepark – the top 3 taking a share of the €1500 on offer.
Entry for spectators is free, whilst registration for competing skaters is £20.
