Josh ‘Frost’ Manderson presents ‘Down the Hole’, an edit filmed entirely at a private DIY indoor bowl in Brighton which has recently been faced with eviction. The building in which the bowl resides was bought by an unknown company who, despite having no immediate plans for its use, have demanded that the bowl be removed or demolished.
The bowl’s layout looks like it offers a fairly wide scope for hitting different lines, bashing tricks off walls and going up or down extensions, without fucking with the overall flow – a very fine line to get right and it looks like it’s been achieved here. Featuring Josh Gislingham, Frankie Darby, Stevie Thompson, James Pannell, Moski, Gill Amos and German Perinan, this is a crew that, between them, have a deep, deep bag of transition moves. In other words, this one should get you hyped to go down your local skatepark and try something new!
Due to the circumstances in which this edit was bought to us, it seems only fitting that we post this Dead Kennedys classic…
“DTH – A strong team of hard grafters put together this wooden bowl at an undisclosed location in Brighton – With only a few weeks left before it has to be moved out of its unit i took an hour out of skating it to film a few of Brightons familiar faces. Mad love to the guys for inviting us down and getting a chance to skate it!!”
