To celebrate the Element X Black Sheep collaborative board release which itself celebrates The Black Sheep skate shop’s tenth birthday, shop and board company rider Jordan Sharkey took to the streets of Manchester and Barcelona to test the board on banks, handrails and pretty much any spot to come into his path.
Mad props to The Black Sheep for holding it down in Manchester for a full decade, helping make up a massive part of the rich fabric of skateboarding which has always produced such a heavy amount of skateboard footage for a city which experiences such a heavy level of rainfall!
A side note on the second spot – the metal bank to wall – the one time I skated this place, the nearby drain smelled so bad you physically couldn’t spend too much time trying to session it. After seeing one of the street beer salesmen pulling an ice cold beer out of a similar drain the day before and then being subjected to that odour, I vowed off Barca street-Estrella for life…
“This is just a taste of what’s to come from team member Sharkey…. Yes it’s going to be a big year all round for both Sharkey and ourselves here at the Black Sheep Store Manchester.
Filmed by the hands of Black Sheep Family member Isaac Wilkinson with additional editing from Seb Batty. Huge thanks as ever to these guys along with Sam Binga x Trigga – MCR (Girls Music) for the banging anthem!
*Little news flash! (or is it fashionable fake news) but rumour has it Sharkey has another six minutes of nonchalant skateboarding stylised clips to release onto the masses soon enough… More on that one soon though. For now get your viewing pleasure below for the Sharkey, Element x Black Sheep 10 Year Anniversary edit.”
