We’ve just got some important information through regarding Stevenage getting a new skatepark. Please read below and act accordingly:
“Hi Everyone,
Some of you may be aware that Stevenage is working towards getting a £1m world class Plaza/Bowl park.
To assist with this and to give the local council/businesses a better understanding of the world of the skater we are holding an indoor event on Sunday 30th November at Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre, 12pm – 6pm
We will have the Red Bull Manny Mania obstacles, lots of enthusiastic kids, plenty of free water and hopefully all the big wigs from Stevenage Borough Council and local industry.
We will also have our proposal on display with conceptual drawings skate art/photography and anything else we can think of that’s interesting.
What we need are lots of you guys and all your mates to attend (if you don’t have any friends bring your mum). Any freebies you can donate (please…please…please) and if you can send a few team riders to do a few short demos, a bit of teaching and if we like them they might even be allowed to sign a few bits for the kids.
We will be confirming all the details in the next few days and will send out the official publicity as soon as (actually, see below for the final flyer). Please circulate it for us as this thing is looking more likely to happen every day and this event could make or break it for us.
You will be handsomely rewarded with the knowledge that you have made a lot of people very happy and if you turn up you might even get a free bottle of water.
Please let me know if you can donate stuff or team members (not permanently, we can’t afford the food) ASAP so we can mention you on the flyer.
