Harry While – In Crust We Trust section and interview

With Matt Hunt’s In Crust We Trust out on DVD in shops now, he’s been uploading a couple of sections from the video to build the hype. Harry While’s closing section from the video, which Matt was kind enough to hook us up with exclusively, does just that; two songs worth of mellow music juxtaposed with gnarly all terrain skating.

So let’s start with the usual questions, How old are you? Where are you from and who are you sponsored by?

I am 21 and I was born in Gloucester – I travelled loads with my Mum when i was younger but always came back to Cornwall so I’d call Cornwall my home. I ride for Etnies, Flavour Skate Shop and Kruzee Society.

How did you become involved with ICWT?

I met Matt when he was filming a DIY edit at Wooden Waves. We talked about filming for In Crust We Trust but didn’t get around to it until he was filming with Dave one day, me and Matt were chatting about a gap I wanted to try across the road and we ended up filming it later that night. The rest is history…

We can see you’ve racked up a lot of footage for this one. How pleased are you with how your part turned out? And when did you know you were getting last part?

I just always went filming on all the trips and got to skate with loads of different people at different times, the footage just racked up without me noticing really. Matt told me that I had the last part when we was deciding on what songs to use, I was shocked but also really honoured and I’m really stoked with how my part came out. Props to Matt for sure!

For people who haven’t been to where your ender was filmed, shed some light on the spot and the battle you went through to get that.

Well the spot is a crappy path with a ledge that’s a bit wider than a board, then a drop off the ledge down some stairs to flat. So you have to run and jump onto your board on the ledge, which was why I battled so hard for it. I went back four times I think and Matt ended up putting back the deadline by a day so I could give it one last go because he’s a legend, luckily I landed it. It was the best battle I’ve had for a trick.

What are your plans for 2017? Are you relieved the video is now done and you can chill or have you got plans to film another part some time?

No plans set in stone really, I’m definitely not relieved the films over I love going out filming. Matts getting a new HD set up sorted so I’m sure we will be out filming again – maybe for a part, who knows…
