The Drawing Boards – Fairfield Forever

With Isaac Miller, Jak Tonge, Jeremy Wilson, Liam Teague and more

With the recent demolishing of legendary Croydon spot Fairfield Halls, The Drawing Boards have put together a compilation of clips from sessions with the team there in ‘Fairfield Forever’. Fairfield Halls was one of the go to street spots when visiting London in the 1990s and early 2000s, with the likes of Paul Shier frequenting the spot and making sure its name was cemented in the annals of UK skateboard history. Even when the flagstones became, in the politest terms, haggard as fuck, it still saw its fair share of action courtesy of those not averse to a bit of a bumpy ride in the search for technical line options.
Backed up with footage from similarly much missed Croydon based spots in the form of the 50p building gap and the bank to white rail spot, this is a dose of Croydonian (yeah it’s a word now) nostalgia bound to bring a gleam to the eye of anyone raised in the depths of South London or who regularly made pilgrimages to the steel and concrete jungle that resides just below the city proper. Have a watch, then keep your eyes on The Drawing Boards’ shop for Fairfield boards dropping Friday!

Fairfield Halls was and will always be a massive part of The Drawing Boards’ history. So many friends and memories made at that place, not to mention the ridiculous amount and level of skateboarding that went down there over the years! Here’s some salvaged footage featuring our first ever team member Jeremy Wilson with appearances from Elliot, Jak Tonge, Liam Teague, Ad McEvoy, Dyllan VD Merwe and Isaac Miller. We thought we’d fling in two other now defunct spots, namely the 50p Building and White Rail – get nostalgic, Fairfield forever!!!

Filmed by AD McEvoy, Toe and Liam Teague. There is a very limited amount of RIP Fairfield decks out there which are being released on Friday, if you want one you best be quick.
