Following on from the release of The Creature Video, The Creature Tour Video sees the team go on a mammoth eight week tour to whip up some hype around the project. This obviously sees them covering a lot of ground terrain-wise as well as physically, skating everything from perfectly poured concrete gnar-holes to rickety makeshift parking lot ramps, and from Burnside’s crusty confines to handrails that are bound to have any stair counter’s knickers getting wet.
I’ve always had a soft spot for tour videos, offering up as they do the ‘fun’, muck around side of skateboarding as well as the downright gnarly. The Creature Tour Video, thankfully, has both in spades. There’s something inherently satisfying about watching some of the gnarliest skateboarders in the world getting stuck into a session on a dilapidated, rust eaten metal miniramp. With the likes of Milton Martinez (who turns pro mid tour), David Gravette and Kevin Baekkel then handrail handling is ably taken care of – and no one is questioning the crew’s transition credentials – but watching some of the gnarliest skateboarders in the world skating some godawful cowboy build of a park that might as well be in the depths of rural Sussex as the Pacific Northwest is definitely what makes the video as good as it is. Big up the shit parks! Crack a cold one, sit back and enjoy…

“After finishing the Creature Video, the crew went on an 8 week US Demo Tour to promote the video and meet some Fiends. Gnarly Shredding, Demos, Signing and Hijinx, here’s what went down…”
