Skate City Nottingham – Voting for the Aviva Community Fund opens today, and closes 21 November!
There are a bunch of skateboarding projects going for it across the UK, including Dundee and Skate City Nottingham – but the good news is everyone can vote 10 times (all for the same thing or for different projects).
For Skate City Nottingham we’re competing for £10k to fund FREE girls skate sessions at Flo and The House, Sheffield (building links between female skaters in Nottingham and Sheffield, supporting the two venues and investing in female coaches) as well as working to develop skate programmes for kids with educational needs, including Asperger’s and Autism also ‘skate & create’ sessions to get skaters to work with artists, designers, trades and craftspeople to build movable objects – think Malmo and Side Effects – to brighten up unloved parts of the city and learn some transferable skills.
All in all a bunch of great causes, so get voting now!
