Cool little clip here featuring Lovenskate heads Jordan Thackeray, Alex Hallford and Ewen Bower (with itinerant inspiration Sox thrown in for good measure) session the capital during the recent bank holiday weekend.
Filmed and edited by Jackson Davis, this is definitely not 'Olympic' by any means, but you'll have a hard time watching it without feeling like you need to go shred the nearest pole jam and or skatepark.
With footage from Stockwell, Clissold Park, Stoke Newington and the new Crystal Palace park, along with some street sessioning thrown in for good measure - this is straight up normal skate life. You'd struggle to go wrong really, given the heads involved, but yeah - it's great. Go watch now.
Whilst we're on the subject of Stu Smith's Lovenskate brand it seems like as good a time as any to remind you all of the day-to-day workings of this grand British institution.
It probably bears saying that things at Lovenskate have changed somewhat since this Unsung documentary was shot: namely that Stu has taken on the reigns of Lovenskate's distribution himself and now deals with all aspects of the business personally, and secondly, that they've moved to a different unit that also has a mini ramp.
With that said though, the origin story of the brand and its raison d'etre remain 100% the same. Watch and get inspired.
As an additional extra, you also get the back story on two other independent UK brands in the above courtesy of Joe Lauder of Satta skateboards and Ken Gear of the A Third Foot skateboard brand.
Go visit the Lovenskate website for all things related to Stu Smith and his brand.
