Vans Park Series held their first pro tour event of the season in Sao Paulo, Brazil last weekend. As those of you who managed to tune in and watch live will know, this was one of the most diverse contest line ups yet, all set in front of a home crowd more than prepared to go mental for all and sundry. As a kick off for 2018 Vans VPS Series - it's hard to imagine a better starting point.

Set on the Vans São Paulo Skatepark, the first and only VPS-certified park terrain skatepark in the Southern hemisphere, built-to-spec by CA Skateparks, with over 2,800 square feet of never before skated park terrain and with well over 5,000 spectators in attendance, as you can imagine, this went off!

In the Men's division, VPS Select Pro and podium veteran Tom Schaar secured an early lead with the highest run score of the entire event, producing his signature colossal airs in clean fast-paced runs, while Brazilian maniac Pedro Barros kept the crowd on edge, executing a powerful air-heavy run with only minutes left in the final to finish in second. Finally, Tristan Rennie celebrates his first VPS podium appearance ever, attacking every wall with ease for a third place finish.
