Originally founded back in 2000 by Marc Johnson and Rodney Mullen following the dissolution of the A-Team brand that both skaters rode for, enjoi has been known for its tongue-in-cheek take on what being a skateboard company is, from the outset. With Johnson originally acting as brand manager, art director and pro for the team, enjoi established a very distinctive aesthetic with all their print ads arriving in bright orange, often mocking skateboarding conventions and other companies, and always decorated with the original Panda logo which Johnson created.
After MJ’s move to Chocolate Skateboards in 2003, and Mullen leaving to establish Almost Skateboards a year later, managerial duties eventually fell to original team rider and walking embodiment of the enjoi ethos, Louie Barletta.
"enjoi is also notable for having Essex ripper Ben Raemers on their pro team and being more than happy to pump out Alan Partridge-related graphics on a whim."
Under Barletta, enjoi have added two more full-length videos to their original feted release ‘Bag of Suck’, and most recently have been the winning team on Thrasher Magazine’s infamous ‘King of the Road’ in 2017.
To the Brits amongst us, enjoi is also notable for having Essex ripper Ben Raemers on their pro team and being more than happy to pump out Alan Partridge-related graphics on a whim.
The enjoi ‘Whitey Panda Logo’ deck you can see here features the original and unmistakable Panda logo, set on a fully dipped white board.
As with all Dwindle’s skateboard brands, enjoi still offer smaller-sized boards in a market dominated by widths of 8" and upward, making them a brand of choice for the younger skater. This deck comes in at 7.75" wide with a slightly shorter-than-average wheelbase giving you more control and making the board easier to flip and manipulate whilst doing tricks. The board is also constructed utilising R7 technology, which uses a patented Epoxy resin for better strength and pop.
