UKSA National Skatebording Championships

Notice the full page advert for the UK National Championships in the latest mag? Well, the UKSA have just announced all the latest details regarding the event, which can be read as of now!

“We are proud to announce further details of the UKSA National Championships on the 6th-7th September with £10,000 prize money up for grabs (Yeah, you read it right).

Presented by Vans and supported by Relentless, Independent Trucks, Flip Skateboards, Casio G-Shock, Skullcandy and Protec.

The National Championships will be held at Adrenaline Alley in Corby, Northamptonshire. The skatepark boasts a re-built street course specifically for this event, a fun and fast hipped bowl and of course the finest vert ramp in the country.

The street event will be open to 100 invited UK British skaters with representatives from all the top UK teams. Invited skaters include Danny Wainwright, Tom Penny, Geoff Rowley, Brian Sumner, Alex Moul, Mike Wright, Ben Grove, Kris Vile. This surely will be the best chance to see the UK’s best skateboarders under one roof since the days of Radlands!

The newly built street course will have some extra additions and surprises added towards the run up for the event. The competition format will keep the skate sessions fired up to ensure you get to see the best from all involved.
Vert will feature top names including Andy Scott, Pete King and Sean Goff as well as the new breed such as Sam Beckett, Sam Bosworth and Paul Luc Ronchetti.

This is the final leg of the ‘UK Independent Vert Series’ so expect to see some serious destruction!

Evening entertainment will include live bands, best trick throw outs and a bowl jam.

Hosting the show for the weekend will be Sidewalks own Ben Powell and of course, Birmingham’s second best son (After Ozzy – or was that Noddy Holder?) Bob Sanderson. Expect to laugh until your head rolls off!

Tickets will be available in advance from Adrenaline Alley. Release date TBC. Tickets are £16 for the weekend in advance or £10 per day on the door. Capacity at the venue is fairly limited so we advise buying in advance to be sure of a spot.
