Fix Up Skateboard Competition is Bristol’s only film, skate, edit comp with a DIY twist, taking place in September. There will be 15 teams of 4 skaters. Each team has 3 days to film and edit a 2 minute skate edit. The teams are encouraged to be as creative as possible, with films being marked on their DIY endeavour as well as the quality of skating. The films will be showcased at the Cube cinema at the end of the competition with each team judging each other’s film. They will then be hosted on www.diybristol.co.uk

The format is as follows:

Thursday 3rd September (PM) Teams meet at 5050, collect starter pack, competition opens.

Friday 4th Teams film/skate

Saturday 5th Teams film/skate. The big three comp is also on and teams will be encouraged to get involved in this as well.

Sunday 6th (4PM) Teams hand in finished films @ The Cube Cinema (7PM) Screening/judging starts (10PM) Winner announced

Each team will judge each others films with the focus being on the following categories:

Narrative and concept.

Style and creativity.

Skateboarding calibre.

DIY Endeavour.
