Favourites: Daryl Dominguez

Fresh from taking fifth place at the UKSA National Skateboarding Championships last weekend, London’s very own Daryl Dominguez delivers us his ‘favourites’ today.

Read on below…

Favourite:

Way to start the day: Sun shining through the window, feeling fresh, bit of lovin‘, a cup of tea and some good food.

Skatespot: Cedars park, perfect flat ground, round the corner from my house.

Skatepark: Not Bay66.

Song to listen to when skating: Any Hendrix or any kind of dub reggae.

Skate video: “Ride The Sky” or “They Don’t Give A F*ck About Us”

Skate section: Nick Trappasso – “And Now”

Movie: Too many, “Madagascar”?

Band: ‘Band of Gypsies’ – don’t know? Get to know!

Album: Bob Marley – “Exodus”

Person: Swe-dan

Material Possession: My peace pendant, doesn’t leave my neck.

London skater: Wet Wipe Waddy (Awadh)

Comedy story from skating out and about on the streets of London: Abusing business men on the train, all you need is a dutty sandwich or a half empty can of coke. The trick is to stand by the doors on the train and wait for them to shut, as they’re closing you lob your sarnie or can at some office slaves bopping up the platform. But all is good, the doors close and your well on your way to the next station, watch that guy get pissed as he wipes sweet pickle off his face and there’s nothing he can do about it! Little Luke managed to throw a can and have it do some pinball action hitting three people! Haha.

Local phrase: ‘Broke back’

None skating pass-time: Chillin/Jammin, you know how we do.

Skate trip to date: Amsterdam AM – amazing skating, amazing party, good people, good vibe, good times.

Time in your life: Right now.

Special move in a game of SKATE: BS biggy backfoot flip – not too consistent though.

YouTube clip: Legalize Shrooms

Board, ever: The one of the stoned balloon lion on Almost, I’m riding one now.

Memory from this years UK Champs: Getting kicked out of a room in the hotel, I pranged out! Wasn’t my room though, haha.

Quote from this years UK Champs: “Chong 09”

Disturbing experience: Holding in a shit at Glastonbury… rough times.

Tip to the reader: If you’re gonna go to a festival, bring bog roll!

Daryl at the finals of this years UK Champs…
